I mean.
Yeah, it's fast food, and yeah, you're paying casino prices, but
Man I went down there at 8:30 at night and they were still hand-breading chicken.
Those were some pretty damned good tenders. -

Wow, I did not expect to actually really like this knock-off Raising Cane's located inside the Luxor Food Court. With a name as bland as my original expectation, I thought this would be a simple "eat and go" type of deal. However, expectations were way exceeded.
My friend and I split a five piece meal ($12.99) which seemed outrageously expensive so we combined forces. The food took a bit longer than our other friends' offerings from around the food court, but we figured it was because they were going in the deep fryer fresh.
When we finally got our food and tasted the tender, all bets were off. I was shocked at how lightly battered the chicken was and how juicy it ended up being. Shocked I tell you! These were definitely the best chicken tenders I've had at a random food court.
Even though the chicken tenders were on fire, their toast and cole slaw were 'meh' at best. I know you don't come here for the sides but when you're paying some hefty prices for tenders, the least you'd want is for the sides to be stellar as well since you're gonna try and eat it all.
So if you want bang for your buck, focus on the chicken and nothing else. It's worth every bite. -

The food is freshly prepared and good quality. The staff when I visited was pleasant but somewhat casual, borderline unprofessional. I was a little nervous that the guy prepping the raw chicken was also staging orders, although he could have washed his hands thoroughly in between.
All OCT has are chicken tenders, fries, and slaw, so it's definitely along the same lines as Raising Cane's or Zaxby's. Anytime I visit NOLA or Texas, I must have Cane's, and contrary to other reviews here, Original Chicken Tender is NOT better than Cane's. Not nearly as flavorful or zesty. But if you're going to get fast food in the Luxor/Mandalay Bay area, this is probably your best bet. -

Located inside of the Luxor food court.
This place is pretty good, I regret ordering a chicken sandwich from the place next-door because it took five times as long and it was terrible. I took a bite from my boyfriends chicken tender sandwich he ordered, and it was so good and really hit the spot.
The chicken tenders are so extremely tender and juicy. Paired with the lettuce and sauce it comes with, along with the fluffy bread, and you get a really comforting sandwich. I also got fries, which were good and tasted like regular fries, nothing mind blowing but they definitely all disappeared by the end of the meal. -

We were staying in the Luxor over Valentine's Day and had just arrived after a fifteen-hour drive, tired and ready to rest. We weren't up to going to the effort of a sit-down restaurant, or much of anything else, so I headed down to the food court. There were several different options, but this seemed to just offer good food that we could eat in our room easily (chicken tenders and Texas Toast), and the prices were quite good for the amount of food on offer.
I asked a few questions about sandwiches and menu items, and the staff was very knowledgeable and present. The food was very good indeed, and I've been to other "chicken tender" restaurants like Raising Cane's and they didn't measure up to what we got at Original Chicken Tender. The cole slaw was good, and the sauce was divine. Overall, I think we made the best choice possible out of the whole food court; the food was great, the service was good, and the prices were more than fair. We'll be back!
